ALBANY- Rose M. Gabel, age 83, passed away on January 22, 2021 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Leroy and Elizabeth Edick. She was predeceased by her husband Charles H. Gabel in 2007, her son Leroy Gabel in 2016 and a sister Grace.
Rose worked at St. Peter's Hospital for many years as a Housekeeper and worked previously as a supervisor of housekeeping at Days Inn.
Rose is survived by her children: Theresa Gabel, Charles (Jackie) Gabel, Joseph (Tina) Gabel and Barbara Gabel; sister, Verna (Cliff) Bolton; brother, Bill Edick. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Friday January 29, 2021 from 10 to 12 Noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A service will follow at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont. Facemasks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
