Rose M. Kotecki, 96, daughter of the late Anna Maria and Giovanni Cerone, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on July 16, 2024.
Rose graduated from Roessleville school in 1946 and then met the love of her life George Kotecki. They married in May of 1950.
Rose was known for her strong will, her determination and most of all the love for her grandson Christopher. Rose enjoyed golfing, camping at Alpine Lake and vacationing in Hilton Head NC with friends and family.
Rose worked as an administrative assistant for her brother John, at John Cerone Home Builders Inc. for over 72 years and she also took on the role of GC and built several custom homes in the area.
Rose is survived by her son Mark (Gail), her loving grandson Christopher (Lindsey), and her great grandchildren Christopher Jr and Alyssa Kotecki, along with many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her husband George, her brothers Frank, Lou, John Jr, Anthony and her grandson Jeffrey Joseph Kotecki.
The family would like to thank Alissa, Debbie and the wonderful staff at Albany Medical Center that cared for Rose.

Visiting hours will be held July 23, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - Colonie Chapel, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY 12205. A mass of Christian burial will be held July 24, 2024 at 11am at Christ Our Light Church - 1 Maria Dr, Albany, NY 12211. Entombment will immediately follow mass at Memory Gardens Cemetery & Memorial Park- 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
