Rose M. Delessio

COLONIE – Rose M. DeLessio 87, of Colonie passed away at her residence on Sunday December 5, 2010. surrounded by her family. She was born in Albany and resided in the Albany area all of her life.
Rose retired from Globe Glass in Albany after several years of service. She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John DeLessio and her daughter Denise Mekowski.
Rose is the mother of John Mekowski. She is also survived by her devoted stepchildren, Micki Brand, Missy Rossi, John (Nancy) DeLessio, Tim (Sue Rambis) DeLessio and Michael DeLessio. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Rose's family would like to express their profund appreciation to George and Mary Ellen McCranie for all of their many acts of kindness and support throughout the past few years.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie at 8:30 then to St. Paul the Apostle Church at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home. In recognition of their outstanding care and comfort, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Rose M. DeLessio.
