Albany – Rose M. McKnight, 79, went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Louise Parsons; her husbands, Eugene Downs Sr. and Rev. Clemor McKnight, three children and nine brothers and sisters. Rose is the beloved mother of Gwendolyn McKnight, Vernon McKnight, Bobby Washington, Adelaide, Eugene and Gerald Downs, Clemor Jr. (Pearl), Chadrick, Wayne, Prentice, Maryanne and Verna (Collin) McKnight-Ralph. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, foster children, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 6:00 pm at Wilborn Temple, COGIC. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pmat the Church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
