SCHENECTADY - Rose Marie Thompson, 83, passed away on Tuesday May 4, 2010 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Schenectady to the late William and Genevieve Henion. She graduated from Albany High and then from Albany Business College. Rose Marie was employed as a secretary at American Locomotive and then for Tennessee Valley Authority where she worked from 1950 until retirement. She loved to garden and was a wonderful dress maker by her own learning's, but most of all loved to spend time with her family.
Rose Marie is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Frederick Thompson; her loving daughter Lynne (Gary) Graham and her beloved granddaughter Traci (Timothy) Koppenhafer. She is also survived by her brother, Clifford Henion.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday at 10:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave).
