Rose Mary Mcgraw
April 15, 1934 — July 3, 2013
COLONIE-On July 3, 2013, Rose Mary Pascual McGraw passed into eternal peace surrounded by her loving family. She entered into eternal life back to the loving arms of her parents Michael and Helen Alice (Samuels) Pascual. She leaves behind many family members; her brother Michael Pascual of Reno, NV and her sisters Sandra Zebe of Ambler, PA and Kathleen Cioffi of Poughkeepsie, NY; her loving children Paul Michael McGraw of Laconia, NY, Colleen Ward, Susan Rudd and Sharon Fowler all of Colonie, as well as 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. Her greatest joy in life was her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by everyone.
Rose Mary graduated from Cathedral Academy in 1952. She kept in contact with as many classmates as possible, participating in organizing her school reunions. In 1954 she married our father Paul McGraw, Jr. who preceded her to eternal life.
She was a retiree from Sears Roebuck where she worked for 20+years. She enjoyed her retirement traveling and participating in many organizations in the community including the Silver Streakers Senior Citizens Group of Colonie, serving as president for many years, then as treasurer. She was a member of the women's auxiliary for the Zaloga Post of Colonie. She was a communicant of Christ Our Light Church (formerly St. Francis DeSales Church) where she had served as the president of the church council which honored her with a plaque for her service, participated on the social committee, altar rosary society, serving as Eucharistic Minister and greeted parishioners' when coming to mass.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Drive., Loudonville, NY, with calling hours being held from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 or to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd. Albany, NY 12211 in memory of Rose Mary.
