COLONIE- Rose Mary Witter, of Colonie, 78, passed away on Saturday October 24, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Summitville, NY and was the daughter of the late Jesse and Florence Cinovic.
Rose Mary enjoyed a thirty-two year career with the Travelers Insurance company as a claims processor and supervisor, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Colonie Red Hat Society Crafters, the Colonie Seniors and volunteered with AARP. Rose Mary enjoyed crocheting and took great pleasure in making hats for newborn babies at Bellevue Maternity Hospital . She was an avid New York Yankee fan and also enjoyed watching the #24 in NASCAR. Her fondest memories were of the family vacations spent in Cape Cod. Rose Mary was known for being her own neighborhood watch. She was a trusted and cherished friend and neighbor. Often keeping a watchful eye on the homes and pets when their owners were away. She was a woman of strong devotion and faith. Rose Mary was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Charles K. Witter and their infant son, David C. Witter.
Survivors include her son, David C. Witter of Rotterdam ; her granddaughter Jacqueline Jesse Sauvageau and her husband Jeffrey; and her cherished great grandson Logan Sauvageau. She is the sister of Leo F. Cinovic. Special Mom to Rose Van Bramer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday morning at 10:00 at St. Francis de Sales Church, Loudonville. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be at a later date at St. Agnes Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Pantry at St. Francis de Sales Church 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville, NY 12211.
