ALBANY-ROSE A. MAYER
Heaven received an angel on Thursday, February 14, 2013 and Rose is now with her valentines George and her beloved son Georgie.
Rose was born on April 4, 1919 in Ozone Park, New York where she lived most of her life and met her loving husband whom she married on January 5, 1946. She worked many years in NYC at a company called Y & R. After having her children Rose worked at home doing Administrative work so she could be there for her children. In later years they moved the family up to Middleburg, NY in the beautiful Schoharie County. Rose worked and retired from Middleburg High School and Elementary School where she worked in the cafeteria where she made many dear friendships. They then moved to Guilderland to be close to their daughter and son in law and enjoyed many happy times and vacations in Maine.
She was an avid bowler who received many trophies. Rose loved to cook and bake and loved her flower garden and decorating for the holidays. In later years she loved her puzzles and jumbles.
Rose leaves behind her loving daughter Debbie who was blest to have her for 93 years and will miss her dearly. She also leaves behind her adoring and doting son in law, Robert who was the apple of her eye. She was "his girl" even when she said "Robert your too fast!" Rose leaves behind her loving sister Marie and brother in law Bill whom she shared many happy times with. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and her dear friend Margaret.
Thank you to all of Rose's angels on the 3rd floor of the Teresian House for the wonderful care you gave her while she was in your care. You are all very special to us.
