Rose Sorrentino

SCHENECTADY- Rose Sorrentino, 97, died on Monday, March 12, 2007 at Schuyler Ridge Health Center. She was born March 11, 1910. Rose was predeceased by her husband Joseph M. Sorrentino in 1970. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Antoinette Morelli Mastroianni.
Rose was a devoted wife, loving homemaker and a compassionate mother. She nurtured and advised her grandchildren with an abundance of pride and love.
Rose and her late husband were a trusted source of support and guidance to many Italian families that were in need throughout the region.
Rose is the beloved mother of Frank (Chickie) Sorrentino of Clifton Park, Joseph (Connie) Sorrentino of Loudonville and James (Cindi) Sorrentino of Lancaster, PA. She is the sister of Anne Bollacker of Brewster, MA and the late Joseph Mastroianni, Nancy Carusone, Caremella Gallo and Louise Pantalone. She is also survived by 11 cherished grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday evening at 7:00 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Union St. Schenectady. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at St. John the Evangelist Church. Interment will be Saturday morning at 9:30 at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Glenville.
