Albany- Rose T. DePrima passed away peacefully on March 4, 2016. She was 96 years old. The daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Greco) Scott, Rose was born on September 3, 1919 in Newton Hook (Hudson), NY. She was married to Peter DePrima in 1947. She was a communicant of All Saints Catholic church where she was a member of the Rosary Society and Ladies Auxiliary.
Rose had a tremendous love for her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved to entertain her family for Sunday dinner, from which you were not allowed to leave the table hungry. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her children: Beverly Raiti and Liz Paone; her grandchildren: Kimberly Raiti-Teetsel and her husband Kevin and Joseph Raiti; her great-grandchildren: Nicole and Zachary Peek, Joseph R., Mia and Ella Raiti, Joseph S. Paone, Jr.; great-great-grandchildren Brayden Teetsel and Joseph S. Paone,III and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Peter DePrima and 9 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on Monday, March 7 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9am on Tuesday March 8 at All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., Albany. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
