Roseann M. (Cyr) Potter, 66, of Slingerlands, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 with her family by her side.
Loving mother of John Hart (Todd and Paul), Robert Hart and Diana Hart-Genre (Ron).
Dearest sister of Patricia Sawyer (Skip), Harold Cyr (Angie), Al Cyr, Thomas Cyr, the late Richard Cyr, the late John Cyr, the late Joseph Cyr and the late Bernard Cook.
Cherished grandmother of four grandchildren; Christopher Benjamin, Jr., Johanna Benjamin, Justin Hart and Camryn Hart.
Survived by many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Besides her husband Elmer, Roseann was predeceased by her parents Albert and Elizabeth Cyr and by her nephew Roger Sawyer.
My mom was a beautiful soul would do anything for anyone. My mother had so much love for her kids, grandkids and family. The news of her becoming a grandma for the first time was "as if she hit the lottery." She had special nicknames for each and spent a lot of time with all four grandkids and she never missed a picture moment with them.
Our mother was a devoted mother to all of her children; we really were her whole world. Roseann was special to everyone, she was kind, and "would even give the shirt off her back."
Roseann was a very hardworking lady and even after she retired she continued to work part time because she loved being around the residents she worked with. She worked at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home for well over 25 years.
Roseann was born in Voorheesville then moving to Guilderland. She was a lifelong area resident. She was the "grandma" of many kids in the town we lived in growing up.
Roseann enjoyed the holidays but especially loved Christmas... my mother was an angel and loved being a "DIVA with her hair ,nails and clothing..." always looked so beautiful…
Relatives and friends may call 1-3 p.m. Saturday, June 16th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m.in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community Hospice Foundation, (Attn: Gift Processing Center) 310 So. Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208, in memory of Roseann Potter.
