Rosemaria Lia

GUILDERLAND- Rosemaria Julia Lia, 81, of Guilderland, passed away on April 12, 2007 after a long illness. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia Gagliardi.
Rosemaria was predeceased in 1980 by her husband Joseph Lia and by her son Rocco V. Lia in 2001. She moved to Guilderland in 1990 to be closer to her family. Rosemaria was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed music, reading , puzzles and a fondness for animals.
Rosemaria is the beloved mother of Rosemarie Lia-Basile and her husband Steven. She is the cherished grandmother of Joseph Lia, Nicholas, Ryan, Erika, Frederick, Michael and Anthony Basile. Great grandmother of Corbin Lia.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 8:45 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Christ the King Church at 9:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorys Garden. Expressions of sympathy may be made to newcomerfamily.com
