Colonie – Rosemary (McHugh) Kelly, 84, passed away peacefully Thursday May 27, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Albany the daughter of the late James and Anna (Kondack) McHugh and has been a lifelong resident. Rosemary graduated from Schuyler High School, worked for the NY State and left to raise her children. She returned to work at Sears where she was employed for 15 years. Rosemary loved to read, travel and follow the lives of her grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Donald L. Kelly, their children: Deborah Kelly of Colonie and Michael (Gina) Kelly of Avon, Ohio, grandchildren: Alex, Brian and Catherine Kelly of Avon, Ohio and sister Elizabeth (George) Quickenton.
The funeral service will be Tuesday 11:00am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
