Rosemary Larsen

WATERVLIET, NY – Rosemary E. Larsen, 66, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2007, surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Mary Elizabeth (Schilling) Schnell. Rosemary lived in the Capital District area for all of her life. She was a retail manager for a number of years and more recently, worked as a customer service representative for First Niagara Bank from where she retired. Mrs. Larsen was a board member of the Watervliet Senior Citizens. She was an avid gardener and loved traveling and shopping. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Rosemary is the beloved wife of 46 years of Larry Larsen. She is the devoted mother of Scott Larsen and Kris Eaton. She is the beloved mother-in-law of Holly Larsen and Mike Eaton. She is the cherished grandmother of Kirsten, Erik and Anders Larsen and Kara and Kelsey Eaton. Also surviving are many close friends. Rosemary's family would like to extend special thanks to the 5th floor oncology nurses at St. Mary's Hospital, and to her friends Sandy Scudder, Harriet Welburn and Jan Calkins for the excellent care and support given to Rosemary and her family.
Funeral services will be Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the services from 4:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
