Rosemary C. Smart

Slingerlands- Rosemary C. Smart , 98, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 9, 2017. Rosemary was the daughter of the late Leo and Rosemary Fisher and was the devoted wife to the late Wallace Smart.

Rosemary spent her time baking, and helping raise her grand daughter. She was very family oriented, loving her family dearly, and will be greatly missed by them.

Rosemary will be forever missed by her daughter: Roseanne (Patrick) Salera; grand daughter: Jenea Salera; sister: Joan Fisher; and loving pet companion: Nico; along with several nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Rosemary is predeceased by her grandson: Nicholas Salera; and siblings: Leo Fisher, Edward Fisher, and Frances Bradt.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals and Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will take place following the calling hour at 12:00 pm, with the burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rosemary's name to the Charity of your choice.
