Rowena B. Bresee
March 27, 1925 — February 18, 2014
Rowena B. Bresee, 88, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2014 at The Pines at Glens Falls Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Rowena was born in Rexburg, Idaho, to the late Otto and Amalia Beck.
She was a treasurer of the Colonie Gardening Federation for many years. Rowena loved gardening, rug hooking, she was a terrific cook, enjoyed being with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Eric D. Bresee and her sister, Maryann Beck.
Rowena is survived by her sons, Charles (Linda) Bresee and Gary (Roxanne) Bresee. She is the cherished grandmother of Kelly Bresee, Amy (JR) Potter, Eric Bresee, Jamee (Peter) Slivka and Katie Bresee. She is the adored great grandmother of Walker and Vanessa.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205 in Rowena's memory.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
