Roxana Blackmore

ROTTERDAM- Roxana L. Blackmore, 91, of Rotterdam, passed away at her residence on Wednesday September 20, 2006. She was born in Albany and raised in Whitehall, NY.
Mrs. Blackmore was a graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont. She taught French at South Colonie High School for many years, retiring in 1974. She was a longtime member of Carmen United Methodist Church. Roxana was the wife of the late William A. Blackmore.
She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Weatherhead of Westfield, MA and her son, John Blackmore of Rotterdam. She is also survived by 2 grand daughters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial services on Saturday at 11:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be private at Saratoga National Cemetery. At the request of the family, memorial contributions are suggested to VFW National Home for Children, 3573 S. Waverly Road.
