Ruth A. Mcmahon

COLONIE – Ruth A. McMahon, 82, of Colonie, passed away peacefully Saturday March 31, 2012 at the Teresian House, surrounded her loving family.
Ruth was born in Rensselaerville and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Edith Gifford. She was employed for many years at Orange Motors in Albany and later worked at Albany Dodge before retiring. Ruth was an instrumental force behind the startup of Colonie Girls Softball. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees.
Ruth was predeceased in 2008 by her husband Richard J. McMahon. She is the beloved mother of Joyce A. McMahon and Jill E. McMahon. She is the sister of Keith (Pam) Gifford and the late June Dillon and Gale Gifford.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Regional Center, 19 Warehouse Row, Albany, NY 12205 or Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave Ext., Albany, NY 12203 in memory of Ruth A. McMahon.
