Altamont - Ruth Anne Fisher, 72, went to be with the Lord on Sunday June 29, 2014. Born in Albany, she is the daughter of the late Herman and Anna Lang.
Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Christian. She enjoyed crafting and antiquing.
Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years Robert E. Fisher; her children, Jill (Alex) Mackie, Mark (Asa) Fisher and Jeffrey Fisher; her cherished grandchildren, Amber (Nick) Scarchilli, Ashley (Darin) Furillo, Alexandra (Tom) Bland, Lydia Mackie, Benjamin (Heidi) Fisher, Danielle (Ryan) Schmidt, Amanda Fisher, Hanna Fisher, Lyndsay Hillers and Dylan Fisher; her great- grandchildren, Nicholas Furillo and Emett Fisher; and her brother Richard (Jeanne) Lang.
In addition to her parents Ruth was predeceased by her sister Shirley Lang.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Ruth's name to the Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 3662 Gifford Church Rd. Duanesburg, NY 12056.
A memorial service for Ruth will be held Thursday August 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
