Ruth E. Barnes

Ruth E. Barnes, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 09, 2010 at the Inn at St. Peters Hospital, Albany. Ruth was born in Albany to the late Otto and Gertrude Vierling. She loved to knit and had a tremendous love for cats. She also loved to travel. In addition to her parents Ruth was predeceased by her loving husband of over 49 years, Joseph Barnes, Sr.
Ruth is survived by her beloved son, Joseph (Beckie) Barnes and her daughter, Karen Barnes. She is the cherished sister of, Doris Wysocki; devoted grandmother of, JT and Jeremy (Sara), great grandmother of, Mercedes and Aidan. She is the loving aunt of Patricia (William) Daniels and Henry (Jeannine) Wysocki.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12:30pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will follow the service at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
