Ruth E. Kocienski

Albany, NY- Ruth E. Kocienski, 84, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2005 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, after a brief illness.
Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Dickert) and Delancy Teller Brown. She graduated from Greenville Central High School in 1939. Ruth was predeceased by her husbands, John A. Fischer and Edward Kocienski, Sr. She worked for the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles, prior to her retirement.
Ruth is the beloved mother of Janet (Eric) Moore of New Albany, IN and Judy (Richard) Bernard of Scotia, NY. She is the cherished grandmother of Lynda (Kalisz) Fishman of Galway, NY, Julie (Kalisz) Myers of Saratoga Springs, NY, Helen (Moore) Mason of Durham, NH, Larry B. Kalisz, Jr. of Sloansville, NY, E. Christopher Moore of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, John E. Kalisz of Pittsfield, MA, Gregory A. Moore of Chittenago, NY and Jodi C. Moore of Dover, NH. Ruth is survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear and favorite brother Andrew Brown of Sturgeon Lake, MN, plus several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205, in memory of Ruth E, Kocienski.
