Ruth H. Bushey

Loudonville- Ruth H. Bushey, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at The Springs Nursing & Rehab Centre. She was born in Albany on February 23, 1923 to the late William Kenna and Molly Vincent.

Ruth was a homemaker who was devoted to caring for her family. She was an avid QVC shopper and loved animals. Ruth instilled family values in her children and grandchildren through her loving examples of care and devotion.

Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, George J. Bushey, Sr.; brothers-in-law, John Bushey and Vito Robilotti; and a sister-in-law, Mary Robilotti.

She is survived by her children, Dawn (Tom) Urquhart, George (Ruth) Bushey Jr., and Dan (Sue) Bushey; her grandchildren, Lynn, Jackie, Pat, George, and Dave; many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, James Bushey; sisters-in-law Vida and Maureen Bushey; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friend and neighbor Ginny Morrell.

Ruth's family would like to extend their thanks to The Springs Nursing & Rehab Centre and Rensselaer Community Hospice for their care and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 4-8pm at New Comer Funeral Home, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Drive, Albany, NY 12211. Interment will follow the Mass at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
