Troy- Ruth Harris, 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Ruth was the daughter of the late Treadford and Dorcas Harris.
Ruth enjoyed spending time with her entire family and loved cooking for them. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. Ruth cherished the moments that she spent with her grandchildren.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Sean R. (Viola) Glaze, Robert W. (Lydia) Glaze, Leon (Sheree) Glaze, Jr., and Daryl L. Glaze; grandchildren, Nichole, Alex, Devon, and Tasia Glaze; siblings, Daryl Harris, Deborah (the late Emanuel) Berrings, Jeffery (Darlene) Harris, Kenneth Harris, Cynthia (William) Nixon; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ruth is predeceased by her loving partner, Leon M. Glaze, Sr.; and her granddaughter, Michele Rose Glaze.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Friday April 8, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ruth's name to The Community Hospice either online at https://www.givetocommunityhospice.org/donate/ or by mail, The Community Hospice Foundation, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
