Ruth J. Pitts

ALBANY - Ruth J. Pitts, 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs, with her loving family by her side.

Ruth was born August 6, 1940 in Albany, New York, the daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Moore. She worked as a hostess at St. Peter's Hospital for about 15 years before retiring.

Ruth loved spending time with her family and enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald J. Pitts; her siblings, Shirley Sawyer, Lloyd Moore, Ronald Moore, Richard Moore and joined by her sister Roberta Fronk who passed on Sunday, July 26, 2015.

Ruth is survived by her loving children, Donald E. Pitts, Stephen C. Pitts (Elizabeth), Ruth C. Roark (David), and Vera L. Devine (William); her eight devoted grandchildren, Melanie, John, Jennifer, Donald, Anthony, David, Dawn, and Brittany; her four cherished great grandchildren, twins, Tyler and Tanner and Anton, Logan and Brendan. She is also survived by her sisters, Joyce, Charlotte, Beverly, Karen, Gloria.

Funeral Service will be on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 9:30 am at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery in Albany.
