Ruth K. Scales

Albany – Ruth Scales, 89, passed away peacefully Sunday March 7, 2010 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Ruth was born in Hallendale, Florida, daughter to the late James and Julia Kelly. Ruth worked as a housekeeper in Delmar for the late Dr. Samuel Powers and his family for many years.
Ruth is survived by her loving daughter Julia (Jonathan) Royal, sister Marjorie (John) O'Neal, brothers: Roy Kelly and Ronald Kelly and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Beatrice Bussey, Vera Ross, Doris Barrow, Belta Nicholsen, Floyd Kelly, James Kelly and John Kelly.
The funeral service will be held Thursday 12:00 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11:00am to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie.
