ALBANY, NY – Ruth L. Adriance, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Teresian House. Born in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Naomi Liddle. She was a school teacher for the East Greenbush Central School District. Ruth was a former member of Marvia Court, Daughters of the Nile and the Westland Hills Little League Women's Auxiliary. Mrs. Adriance enjoyed reading, knitting and traveling. She especially loved dancing with her late husband, "El" and caring for her cherished family. Ruth was the beloved wife of 63 years to Elmer R. Adriance, who predeceased her in March, 2010. She is the devoted mother of Charles (Janet) Adriance of Middleburgh and John (Maureen) Adriance of Colonie. Ruth is the cherished grandmother of Thomas Adriance and loving great-grandmother of Morgan Adriance. She is the sister of Henrietta Conney and sister-in-law of Joseph Rosano and the late Ruth Rosano. Also surviving are her niece and nephew, Ruth (Brian) Reilly, Joseph (Becky) Rosano and many extended family members and special friends. Ruth's family would like to extend a special thank you to the kind and compassionate staff of Teresian House for all of the care and support given to Ruth during her stay.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 15th at 11:00 a.m. at the Infant of Prague Chapel at Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave. Ext., Albany. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
