Ruth Luther

VOORHEESVILLE-Ruth H. Leto Luther, 66, of Voorheesville, passed away on Sunday January 28, 2007 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth Trinkes Leto.
Ruth had worked for many years in the food service industry. Along with her, husband they became the proprietors of the Playdium Bowling Center in Albany 1983 and continue it's operation currently. Ruth was an avid baseball fan, especially the New York Mets. She enjoyed bowling, boating and was a harness racing enthusiast. Ruth was devoted to her family and her adored grandchildren. She was a member of the Ravena Coeymans Yacht club.
She is the beloved wife of 41 years to Neil W. Luther Sr. She is the beloved mother of Jo-leen (Carmen) Benincasa, Neil W. Luther Jr. and the late Gina Lomio. Cherished grandmother of Alexa and Andrea Benincasa. She is the sister of Richard (Arlene) Leto, Arnold (Vicki) Leto, Janet Boni and the late Joseph Leto Jr., Ronald Leto, Patricia Granito and Joan Hughes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 9:30 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
