ALBANY-Ruth Marshall went to be with her Lord on March 1, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn. She was born in Mount Grace Tobago West Indies on November 5, 1935, the daughter of Charles and Ann LeBourne. Ruth was trained as a State Registered Nurse and State Certified Midwife in Great Britain and migrated to America in 1971. She worked for many years at the Albany Medical Center, Central Nursing Agency and other agencies. In 2000, Ruth was awarded Caregiver of the year, while working with the APRIA Agency. She was a member of Victory Christian Church in Albany. Ruth had six sisters and two brothers. She will be sadly missed by all relatives and work mates, including John and Susan Miner, Elsa Figliomeni, Winston McLean, Hermine Jarvis, Tahita Lindsey, Samantha Gaddy, Ron, Judy, and Willie Wilday, Charles Brown, and Pastor Vance Parella. A special thank you to the staff at St. Peter's Hospital Oncology Unit. May she rest in peace.
Calling hours will be held from 11 to 12 Noon on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie with a funeral service to follow at 12 Noon.
Interment will be at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
