Ruth W. Neuhart

Ruth W. Neuhart passed peacefully from this life on March 22, 2018. She was 101 years old and was the last of the Williams clan of Pittsburgh, PA. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Geniveve Williams on October 20, 1916 in Pittsburgh. Ruth was predeceased by her older sister Edith (Perry) and her younger sister Jennifer (Werling) of Fort Myers, Florida. She is also predeceased by her brothers Harry Williams of Pittsburgh and older brother Basil Williams of Cleveland, Ohio.
She was married to Harry Morgan Neuhart on June 15, 1940 and resided in the South Hills section of Pittsburgh for many years. Ruth was a dedicated homemaker until Harry's death in 1991. She is survived by one son, Bernard H. Neuhart and his wife Kathryn M. Neuhart of Niskayuna, NY. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Robert W. Neuhart of New Brunswick, NY and by Patricia Neuhart of Toledo, Ohio. She was also predeceased by one grandchild David B. Neuhart of Fort Worth, Texas. There are also numerous nieces and nephews in the Pittsburgh area including Donna Noble of highland Park, and Michael (Mickey) Williams who was also a caregiver in her later years.
She will be remembered for her pride, her fierce will and determination as well as her intelligence. She was an avid reader of mysteries and an enthusiastic sports fan of the Pittsburgh professional teams. In her later years, she was an avid listener and participant in Pittsburgh radio talk shows. Ruth was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church and a charitable worker for their Meals on Wheels programs.
Due to health concerns she relocated to the Albany area in 2005 and for seven years resided at Hearthstone Village in Latham NY. Her last years were spent at the Capital Living, Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rotterdam, NY. We thank them for their wonderful care and concern for Ruth as well as other aged and infirm members of society.
Arrangements have been made by New Comer Cremations and Funerals, Colonie. Services are private and Ruth will be interred at Memory Gardens in Colonie, NY.
