Ruth M. Pontore
February 20, 1944 — July 2, 2017
Latham- Ruth Pontore, 73, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July, 2. 2017. She was the daughter of the late Ruth Conrad and she is predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony Pontore and her beloved son, Patrick Rocky Pontore.
Dixie was a waitress for many years at the 76 Diner before staring her own restaurant, Dixies Luncheonette . She enjoyed gardening, trips to the Saratoga Racino and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a bowler and avid golfer and was a member of the Whispering Pines Golf Club.
Dixie is survived by her two sons, Anthony F. Delsignore and Duane A. Delsignore (Heidi Carter). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Megan, Maddie, Karleigh, Anthony and Joey, her siblings; Chas Conrad (Terri), Hazel Tallman (Jack), Gary Conrad and Lyman "Clem" Conrad and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth is predeceased by her sisters; Linda, Susan, Edith "DeeDee", Patsy and Diane.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Nurses and Staff and New York Oncology of Albany for their compassion and care.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. A memorial service will follow the calling hours at 7:00pm.
