Ruth Tubbs

COLONIE, NY – Ruth (Gross) Tubbs of Colonie, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital under the care of hospice. Born in Lincoln, NE, she was one of six children of the late Julius and Julia Gross. She lived in Margaretville, NY for over forty years, where she and her late husband, Burton Tubbs owned a sporting goods store. After her husbands passing, she moved to Colonie in 1989 to be close to her daughters and grandchildren. Ruth will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Carole Ackerley and Linda Kaese; three grandchildren, Marc Ackerley, Lisa Kaese and Heather Ackerley-Noser; six precious great-grandchildren and her sister, June Flockhart.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Margaretville Methodist Church, Margaretville, NY 12455 in memory of Ruth Tubbs.
