Sadie M. Bogardus
August 5, 1924 — April 5, 2017
Guilderland- Sadie M. Bogardus, 92, passed away with her daughter by her side on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center on the Rosary Unit where she received exceptional care. She was born in Richmondville, NY on August 5, 1924 to the late Peter and Edith (Reese) Radliff.
She graduated from Richmondville High School.
In addition the her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Arthur C. Bogardus, Sr. in July of 1996. She is also predeceased by her sisters, Margurite Bevaliqua, Lena English, and Blanche Righi and her brothers, Franklyn and Harry Radliff.
Sadie is survived by her son, Arthur C. (Mildred) Bogardus, Jr. of Esperance, NY, her daughter, Jean Bastiani of Schenectady, NY and her niece Joan Radliff of Richmondville, NY. She loved her cat, Bert.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Maureen, Jennie, Betty, Jim, Rosie, Lynda and the pastoral care team of Our Lady of Mercy for their care and compassion.
Sadie was a hardworking farmer, house wife, and mother. She enjoyed all sports, especially the Yankees, and she was an avid reader. Sadie belonged to the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Dade City, FL.
Memorial services will be private. She will be interred in Richmondville Cemetery, Richmondville, NY.
