Sadie Lanni Paratore

Albany- Sadie Lanni Paratore, (Santa Dominica Catalfamo), 89, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Sadie was born on October 4, 1931 in Albany, NY to the late Joseph and Josephine Clara (Giorgianni) Catalfamo.
A Graduate of Cathedral High she soon began working for the telephone company. After many years of raising her eight children she enjoyed her work at Albany High School cafeteria cooking and feeding people. She retired from the Albany City School District as a Teacher's Aid and went above and beyond to encourage and help her students to succeed, reminiscing often of those times. She lived life to the fullest, devoting herself to her family and friends. She enjoyed a full life of cooking, baking, shopping, traveling, hitting the Bocci court, playing cards with friends, a walk on the beach and dancing the night away. But more than anything Sadie enjoyed her family close and all together as much as possible no matter how small the room. She was funny and loved life. So cute she made us cry and laugh at the same time. She was our biggest cheerleader, she was our hero. We will forever hold her love and laughter in our hearts. She will be sorely missed by her husband Anthony.
Sadie is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Paratore of 27 years. Her loving children, Nicholas (Julie) Lanni, Victor Lanni, Joseph Lanni, Denise Lanni DiPace, Elizabeth (Robert) Kramer, Rosemary (Robert) Wells, Patricia (Mark) Davenport, Lisa (Thomas Weisser) Lanni and her stepsons, Anthony Paratore Jr, James (Charlene) Paratore and Carman Paratore. She is survived by many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Philip Catalfamo and Victor (Shirley) Catalfamo and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Nicholas Lanni of 30 years and her brothers Joseph, Anthony, Salvatore and John.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, New York on Sunday July 11, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be held Monday July 12, 2021 at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206 with burial to immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery, 481 Rte 9W, Glenmont, NY 12077.
