DELMAR – Sally A. Kissling, 72, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland.
Sally was born on January 7, 1941 in Bangor, ME and was the daughter of the late Warren S. and Grace A. (Swenson) Overlock. She had worked as a medical transcriptionist for the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME. She was a member of the Bethlehem Community Church in Delmar where she was a former Deaconess and the NYCD Christian Women's Club. She enjoyed being a foster parent for over 100 pre-adopts for over ten years with the New Hampshire Child and Family Services of Manchester, NH and loved sewing and baking.
Sally is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, John L. Kissling Jr.; her loving children, David J. (Michelle) Kissling of Severn, MD, Dianne H. Clarizio of Delmar, Daniel J. (Heather) Kissling of Westerlo and Michael C. Kissling of Glenmont; her cherished grandchildren, Alexa M. and Amanda G. Kissling and Jordan T., Emily G. and Dominic L. Clarizio; her brother, Warren S. (Charlotte) Overlook Jr. of Shelburne Falls, MA and two nieces, Sharon and Susan.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
