Sally Ann Kirkley

Albany -Sally Ann (Lipscomb) Kirkley, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 24, 2021 in Albany, NY. The eldest daughter of the late Eric and Vinel Lipscomb, Sally was born on January 27, 1935 in Coeymans, NY.


Sally is survived by her husband John Kirkley, her eldest child, LeRoi Lipscomb (Barbara), Jonesboro, GA., Ronald Eric Lipscomb, Albany, NY, and Paulette Lipscomb, Albany, NY. She was also the mother to the late Jacqueline Lipscomb and Kimberly Lipscomb, from Albany, NY. Sally was proud to be the loving wife of John Raymond Kirkley. Their union withstood the test of time for over 50 years She also truly loved being the stepmother to Essie Kirkley, Albany, NY, and John Kirkley Jr., David Kirkley, Albany, NY.



Sally is also survived by her brothers, Eugene Lipscomb, Shawnee KS., James L. Lipscomb, Scottsdale, AZ., and her sisters, Pearl A. Croxton, Hyde Park, MA., Carole L. Lipscomb, Albany, NY., and Janet P. McGrew, of Atlanta, GA and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren who admired and respected their "Nana" no matter how near or far.

Funeral services will be, held Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Riverview Missionary Baptist Church 11 Riverview Drive, Coeymans, New York, at 11am, preceded by a quiet hour at 10am.
