Samuel "Duke" Dollard Jr., 91, passed away peacefully at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, on May 23rd, at 12:00 pm after a short illness. Duke was born in Albany, NY to Towner A. and Veralyn (Ruhl) Dollard at his family home.
He was the husband of Anne Marie Mohan, they were married for 65 years before she passed.
Survivors include his two sisters, Patricia Mohan and Shirley Lawson, five of his six children; Carolyn, Patrick (Diane), Mary Downey (Bob), Margaret Shapiro (Frank) and Daniel (Jeana), twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his eldest son James.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie from 4-6:30 p.m. on May 31st, a brief service with military honors will follow and conclude the calling hours.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Saratoga National Cemetery.
