Samuel K. Pangborn

Clifton Park - Samuel K. Pangborn, 84 of Clifton Park, NY and Jupiter, Fl passed on at home on Friday, April 22 , 2016. He was the son of the late Wallace and Gertrude Pangborn. He is survived by his life partner Joanne Weaver.
Sam was known to family and friends as "Sambo",
a Swedish term of respect and endearment for unmarried partners.

Sam is also survived by his stepmother Bernice Pangborn of Fort Gratiot, MI, his children David Pangborn of Brighton, MI, Amy McCullough of Brighton, MI, Eric Pangborn of Murfreesboro, TN and Matthew Pangborn of Des Plaines, IL. He was the loving grandfather to Michael Pangborn, Shannon Bauer, Isabella Pangborn and Zachariah Pangborn. Sam is also survived by his siblings Harry B.P. Rapson of Lakeway, TX, Linda Slaughter of Clyde, MI and Michael Pangborn of San Marco Island, FL, many nieces and nephews and close friends.

Sam is predeceased by his beloved granddaughter Joy Pangborn.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205. A memorial service will follow starting at 6:00pm.
Sam was employed as a new home sales representative for Rosen/Michaels & the Masullo Brothers Builders.

He enjoyed golf, tennis and was a music aficionado. He loved the arts and enjoyed traveling. Sam was an avid reader, bridge player, crossword puzzle fanatic. He loved his Detroit Tigers and Michigan State Spartans fan. He was known for his quick wit, amazing memory, and kindness. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all.

Sam's family would like to thank the caring staff of Community Hospice of Albany.

Interment will be in Bad Axe, MI, his birth place, at a later date.
