Half Moon – Sandra "Sandy" Jean Brady, sadly departed our world one day before her 73rd birthday in her home in Clifton Park. Sandy fought hard and long throughout her sickness. The day of her passing she was surrounded by her dearest friends and family.
She was born in Albany as the youngest daughter of the late Paul and Cora (Bell) Nedeau. She attended Hackett Middle Schools and Philip Schuyler High School. Sandy enjoyed her career working at Saratoga Hospital and Our Lady of Hope in Latham until her retirement in 2000.
Sandy was a sweetheart and an endless source of strength. Sandy was so grateful for her husband, throughout her life she was his support and strength. Sandy insisted on a clean home, however, was not a stranger to getting her hands dirty working alongside Rich and their family. She was an amazing dancer and especially enjoyed Country Line Dancing. Sandra Jean craved adventure and loved skiing, biking and rollerblading. Sandy loved the water and proudly taught her children and grandchildren how to swim. She holds some of her greatest memories cruising and camping with family and friends and a box of wine to share. If there was adventure to be had you can bet that Sandra was first in line!
Sandra was so in love and dedicated to her husband of nearly Fifty-five years! Sandy was a sincere and loving mom to not only the 3 children she gave birth to, but the others to whom she was swept under her wing. Her hugs and love will always be felt, her words of wisdom and guidance echoes in our memories. Her grandchildren loved her immensely, she was their light. She was a devoted nanny and aunt. She instilled respect and a firm but loving approach to guiding the children in her life. She was loved, respected and will be deeply missed.
Sandra was predeceased by her sons, Richard "Richie" Brady, Jr. and John "Matt" Stone, and her siblings, Bill, Donnie, Charlie and Carol. Sandra will be welcomed in heaven by many of her family and friends.
Sandra is survived by her adoring husband, Rich and their two daughters, Colleen Tenace (Scott) and Heidi Brady and son, Rob "Robbie" Stone (Terra); ten grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
