Sandra J. Briger November 25, 1953 – March 14th, 2024

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Sandra J. Briger on March 14, 2024 at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Sandy was raised in Newtonville and is a graduate of Shaker High School. Living in Latham most of her life, she worked various jobs ranging from retail work to office work. Sandy was the type of person who was always there to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed doing diamond art, making tie knot blankets
for family and friends and shopping the Warrensburg flea market. She was a softie at heart, especially when it came to her grandchildren whom she adored.

Sandy was the daughter of the late Frederick J. Briger, Sr. and Jean Briger (Stewart), and was sister-in-law to the late Bob Ferrell. She was also predeceased by her best friend and companion, Shelby, her pet poodle.

Sandy is survived by her daughter Heather Braley, Heather's fiancé Michael Harrington and grandchildren Kaylee St. Denis, Karlee Braley and Patrick & Rylee Harrington. She was also grandma to the family pup, Daisy. Sandy also leaves behind her friend and ex-husband Eddie Braley, Jr., her sister Debbie Ferrell, nieces Lindsay Montarello and Allyson Ferrell, as well as other family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Friday March 22, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to attend her funeral service following at 7:00 p.m.
