Sandra Ann Greene, 78, passed away on May 11, 2023 of natural causes, surrounded by her loved ones. Sandy (nickname) was born September 15, 1944 in Brooklyn NY. Sandy was the daughter of Dorothy Moffett and Ernest Brown (both deceased).
Sandy was a mother, a daughter, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. Sandy was also a cancer survivor. Sandy was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. It didn't matter if you had known her for years or just met her a minute ago. Sandy worked as a barmaid for many years in Brooklyn, and also worked as a teller at OTB in Albany for many years.
Sandy graduated from the Boys and Girls High School in Brooklyn, NY. If you didn't see Sandy spoiling her Grandchildren laughing, gossiping with her friends, she was probably out at the casino. Sandy wouldn't want any of us to be sad right now because she now has her sight, her legs are strong, and she is no longer in pain.
Sandy is survived by her daughters, Doreen Brown, Son-in-law, Mark Myrick, Selena Bronson, Son-in-law David Bronson, and Renee Drayton and Son-in-law Darin Drayton, her sisters Gloria Crawford, Davilyn Lyons-Ford, her brothers, Ernest R. Crawford and Ernest L. Lindsay. She is also survived by her grandsons, E'lon and TaiQuan Brown, and granddaughter Diane Cheatum. She is also survived by her nephews Anthony Crawford, Rashad Danty, and her nieces Hazel Ramirez, Shana Lindsay, and Sherese Brown, her great grandchildren, Jaylen and Aniyah Cheatum, along with a host of cousins and friends.
