Sandra L. Hansen

SCHENECTADY – Sandra Lee Hansen, 60, passed away at St. Peters Hospital on Thursday, April 14, 2011 surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. Born on May 3, 1950 in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of Lt. Waldo and Lela (Short) Suker.
Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family. She was especially proud of her children.
Sandra was predeceased by her husband, Richard; father Wally, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
She is survived by her mother, Lela; children, Jeffrey, Christopher, Brent (Amber), and Jolene; Stepson Richard; grandson Christopher, Jr.; Brothers Doug(Marty), Richard (Diane), and Gary (Mary Beth); and her loving life partner, Mike Laware. Other family and friends also survive.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 – South of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
At the family's request, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 in Sandra's name.
