TROY – Sandra Lee Thomas-Cannon, 51, of Troy, unexpectedly passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Sandra was born in Albany on February 4, 1958, to Florence Artis-Walters and the late Robert L. Thomas. She was educated in the Albany School District and employed in the health care field in Troy.
Sandra's loving family includes in addition to her mother, her husband, Earl M. Cannon; two devoted daughters, Shinequa and Fatu Thomas of Troy; nine wonderful grandchildren; her siblings, Hilda Williams, Zena (James) Terrell, Kevin (Annette) Bartee, Clay and Danta Wylie all of Albany, Ethel Wood, Cynthia, Harold and Stephen Thomas all of Troy and Janet (Randy) Radcliff of Charlotte, NC. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Quatuilla Thomas; uncles, Michael and Albert L. Artis; grandmother, Arylee Artis-Washington; aunt, Hilda B. Willis and cousin, Gabrillie Willis.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Friday at Walls A.M.E. Temple, 27 Delaware St., Albany. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the church.
