Sanicharie "Mary" Masih, 62, passed away peacefully, on October 28, 2017 at St. Peter's Hospital in the arms of her daughter, Sonia.
Mary was born in a small town in Penal on the island of Trinidad and Tobago to the late Dularie Bedhesi and Peter Rampersad. She moved to New York City from Trinidad to continue her education, where she received her Master's Degree in Business Administration. She then moved to Catskill, NY, where she was the owner and operator of her own resort. Lastly, she move to the Capital District where she was dedicated to her career at St. Peter's Hospital as a Lab Assistant.
She was also a devout Christian and regularly attended St. Paul's episcopal church. Mary's hobbies included shopping, sewing, reading and cooking but her favorite thing was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary was an intelligent, motivated woman, a dedicated and loving mother, a hardworking employee and a faithful Christian.
Mary was a cherished daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Mary is survived by 6 siblings, 4 sisters, and 2 brothers, 5 children; Sonia (William Dempsey), Sunil (Angela Masih), Sonita (Saif Khan) , Sunjay (Samantha Masih), and Salina and 4 grandchildren; Arianna, Sahil, Syed, and Jeremiah.
Gathering for friends and family will be held on Saturday, November 4th, 2017 from 1 to 2 pm at St. Pauls Episcopal Church, 21 Hackett Blvd, Albany NY, 12208. A funeral service will follow at 2pm at the Church. Entombment will follow the service.
