Sarah L. Bradley

July 6, 1938 — December 1, 2023

Sarah L. "Sally" Bradley, 85, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer's, surrounded by her loving family.

Born July 6, 1938, in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Winifred (Comer) Toolan.

She graduated from Vincentian Institute, and in 1961 she married her husband John and started their family. Throughout her years as a homemaker, and later during her Administrative career, she worked part-time at both Macy's and Sears. Sally was a devoted mother who took great care in supporting her family; she was a Girl Scout Troop Leader, a member of a local Bowling League, along with volunteering at her local parish, St. Pius X, Loudonville, where her children attended school. Each year, the extended family would come together for camping trips in the Adirondacks and beach vacations on the Jersey Shore.

With her children grown, she discovered a newly found interest volunteering for the local Search and Rescue (SAR), riding and camping events with her friends in the BMW Motorcycle Club, and being able to continue her lifelong passion as an avid reader. In 2004, she retired from the Social Security Administration in Schenectady, NY, and pursued a new enthusiasm for researching genealogy for family and friends. Her dedication to continuous support of her growing family was unwavering, being present at every milestone.

Maintaining tradition was key. The 34 years of "Spaghetti Wednesdays" at her home, the annual Tulip Festival, and endless holiday gatherings will continue. Sally was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend, and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Sally is survived by her daughters Sheila Quimby, Eileen Fink, and Susan (Joel) Cross; her grandchildren Alexandra (Brian), Chelsea, Rachel, Brendan, Bradley, and Mia; great grandchildren Addison, Cayden, Evelyn, and Anderson; many nieces and nephews; and her son-in-law Patrick Fink.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings James "Buddy" (Dee) Toolan, Mary (Peter) Mullen, Anna Toolan, Joan (Bob) Forster, and Patricia "Patsy" (Joseph) Donohue; and her Aunt Sarah Comer.
