Scott Thomas Adams
August 13th 1964 to December 21st 2024, age 60.
Passing away at his home in Stephentown, New York with his loving wife by his side after a valiant fight with brain cancer.
Born and raised in the area Scott was the son of the late Marion Thomas Adams and Myron Wesley Adams of Cherry Plain, New York. He leaves behind his brother Andrew Adams along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Myron Adams (Junie) and Audrey Clough. He will be dearly missed by his best friend and cousin, Keith Liebenow and wife Missy.
Scott attended Berlin Central High School graduating in 1982. He furthered his education then graduating from Ohio Diesel Tech in 1984 with an associate's degree in diesel mechanics. After college Scott worked in that field for many years but his passion was logging. Scott loved being in the woods and on weekends that's where you could find him.
Over the years he had built himself two cabins, the latest one during and throughout his illness when he felt well enough. He would go just to enjoy the beauty and peace of nature while listening to his music. Scott loved music, mostly 60s, 80s and oldies. He could name any song that came on the radio from that era.
Scott so enjoyed outdoor activities like snowmobiling, riding his four wheeler, hiking, cookouts with family and friends. Making maple syrup in the winter months using wood in his very own handmade boiling system. Scott was so handy and crafty in many ways and never sat still! Cutting and splitting wood was his way to relax.
Scott had met and made many friends over the years, due to his knack of striking up a conversation with anyone he came across. His willingness to lend a hand, always going out of his way to help his friends.
His sense of humor was one of a kind, which was not for everyone. You couldn't help but smile when he cracked the hundreds of his one liners. He was very much a jokester and a storyteller. It didn't matter if you had already heard that story you were going to hear it again and again in his most animated way.
Throughout the years between school, jobs and having fun, Scott had three children. Predeceased by his son Jacob Scott Adams with his first wife Kimberly St Germain. Daughters Kyrstin Renee Adams and his youngest Whitney Rose Adams.
Scott leaves behind his beloved wife of 27 years, Shannon Marie Adams. They had met in 1995 through mutual friends and were married in May of 1997.
There will be a celebration of life announced at a later date for friends and family.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to cancer research or plant a tree in Scott's honor.
