TROY – Scott E. Morgan, 54 from South Troy, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. August 3, 2024.
Born in Troy, he was the son of Everette & Gayle Morgan. Scott is survived by his parents, his son, Scott E. Morgan, his brother, Jeffrey Morgan, his nephew, Jeffrey Morgan, his best friend, and love of his life for 25 years, Christina "Cricket" Parnell, and Grandpa's best bud and furball, Tahoe. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is predeceased by his sister, Tammy Morgan, and his beloved poodle, Moody Girl.
Scott was a "South Troy Boy" through and through. He would always say "this is where we came from, this is our home and we're going to live here forever." Scott had a kind soul and a heart larger than life. He was always the first one to offer a friend a place to stay or something to eat. Everyone he met loved him because he was always kind and respectful, no matter what the circumstances.
Scott absolutely loved playing poker and going to the casino, traveling, and spending time with family. He loved admiring his carpentry skills when driving through neighborhoods and he spotted a house that he built or worked on. He was so proud of his work.
Scott had the best sense of humor, he laughed at the stupidest things for hours and hours. Most of all, he loved and protected his family fiercely, and we do not know what we are going to do without him.
Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, August 9, 2024 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy-Schenectady Road, Watervliet. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 10 at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Troy.
