Sergey Targoni

Albany- Sergey Targoni, 89, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at home with his loving family by his side. Sergey was the son of the late Grigoriy and Lubov Targoni. Sergey was the devoted husband to Raisa Targoni. They were married 66 years.

Sergey was born in a small town in the Ukraine. He survived through Hitler's occupation and went to Kiev Poly Technical Institute and worked as the Director of a Power Plant.

Sergey was a most caring and devoted father to his daughter, Irina (Anthony DeSena) and son, Oleg. He was the loving grandfather of Andrey and Taras.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:30 am. A Private Burial will follow the service at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.

The family requests that donations be made in Sergey's memory to the Mohawk Humane Society.
