Sergio Juan Martinez

Ballston Spa- Sergio Juan Martinez, MD, 63, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on April 24, 2017. Born on February 17, 1954 in Havana, Cuba, Sergio was the son of Sergio Rodolfo Martinez-Figueredo and the late Maria Josefa Arguelles-Barrios. He is survived by his daughter Merlyn Martinez; his brother Jorge Martinez; his sister Ania Martinez; his wife of 16 years Migdalia Rodriguez-Martinez and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is also survived by his foster children: Gemenis Caraballo and Jon Luis Caraballo-Gonzales.
In addition to his mother, Sergio was predeceased by his aunt who raised him, Mercedes Arguelles.
Visitation will be held from 3 pm to 8 pm on Friday, April 28, 2017 at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00am St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Ave, Ballston Spa, NY 12020. Burial will be private.
