Shannon H.E. Dean

Colonie- Shannon H.E. Dean "Shei", 43, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family, on Monday, January 10, 2022. Born in Syracuse she was the daughter of Thomas and the late Marcia Ierlan. Shei is survived by her husband and partner, Zachary Dean and her 6 children.

Growing up in Phoenix NY, Shei moved to the Albany area to attend SUNY, where she graduated Cum Laude with a major in Psychology in 2000. She stayed in the area and met her future husband at work in 2010. They settled in Colonie, where Shei frequently attended Capital Church. She was a devoted spouse and mother and was actively involved in charity up until the very end. Her family, and the community, will miss her as she touched the lives of everyone she met.

In addition to her husband, her father, and her mother in law Clare Dean, Shei is survived by her children Kerenza, Emma, Wyatt, Alexander, Jack, and Juliette, her sister Mari Petro, her brother in law Matthew Petro, and her nephews Ian and Ryan,

Shei is predeceased by her mother Marcia, and her younger sister Kym Ierlan.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 1pm-2pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. A celebration of life at the funeral home will begin at 2pm.
