Colonie- Sharon, a beautiful, loving, and caring soul, departed from this world on January 17th, 2024. She was born in Bountiful, Utah to the late Gordon Bowen and Ethel Burek. She lived a life full of love, joy, and genuine connections that touched the hearts of many.
Born on July 20th, 1967, Sharon radiated a vibrant and lively spirit that left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her. She was a devoted partner for 17 years to her beloved companion, a relationship filled with adoration and shared moments of joy.
Family was at the center of Sharon's heart, and her love knew no bounds. As a loving mother, she cherished the time spent with her two children, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. Her adoration extended to her three grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye. She poured out her love for them with unbridled enthusiasm, creating a bond that will forever be cherished.
Sharon truly enjoyed taking day trips with her sister and mother, creating memories filled with laughter and shared experiences. Looking forward to the future, she had exciting plans to book a cruise with her daughter and them in the coming year, anticipating the joy and adventure that awaited.
Professionally, Sharon found fulfillment and a sense of accomplishment in her job. She developed close connections with her co-workers, making the workplace not just a job but a community that she valued deeply.
Sharon's journey was marked by remarkable resilience and strength, particularly in the past year where she faced challenges head-on and achieved significant milestones. Putting herself and her health first, she demonstrated exceptional determination.
In the past year, Sharon not only confronted her challenges but also celebrated a remarkable achievement—she reached one year of sobriety. This accomplishment was a testament to her commitment to personal growth and well-being. Sharon's dedication to her sobriety was not only a source of pride for herself but also a celebration shared with her family, who stood by her side in support.

In her leisure time, Sharon had a passion for arts and crafts/scrapbooking, particularly enjoying diamond art paintings. Her creations were not only expressions of creativity but also heartfelt gifts that reflected her sentimental nature. Her generosity and thoughtfulness shone through in these artistic endeavors.
Sharon found solace in nature and cherished annual camping trips to her brother's season camp. Backyard cookouts became a cherished tradition, especially on Memorial Day and her partner's birthday, where laughter and love filled the air.
Her departure leaves a void that words cannot fill, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Sharon is predeceased by her Sisters Donna DuPrey and Gail Bowen.
Sharon is survived by Longtime partner James Monette, Mother Ethel (Michael) Burek, Daughter April (Jessica) DiLallo, Son Nicholas (Sarah) Duran. Grandchildren, Riley , CJ, Jaxson, and granddaughter to come June 24. Siblings Linda (Lou) Maiello, Boe (Patty) Bowen, Dianne (Joseph) Force, Carl Bowen, Sandra Bowen. A host of nieces , nephews , cousins and friends.
Calling hours 10-12 followed by 12pm Service will be held Friday January 26, 2024 held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 411 Loudon Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211. Interment to follow Evergreen Cemetery Wynantskill, NY.
